EchoSat's SurfBeam unit utilizes a satellite dish that is only 1.0 meter and can be roof mounted, side mounted, or pole mounted.  The indoor electronics feature a satellite router similar to a cable or DSL modem.  The satellite router, or modem, interfaces to your computer or network via a standard Ethernet connection.  The satellite router, or modem, can be mounted on your desktop horizontally or vertically to preserve space.
